Commitment to Quality and Global Support
SCION Instruments proudly manufactures in Europe at our Goes, Netherlands facility, with headquarters in Livingston, Scotland. Moreover, our global infrastructure guarantees seamless sales and service support worldwide. In addition to assisting SCION Instruments customers, we also provide service and support for legacy Varian system users, ensuring continuity and expertise.
A Legacy of Excellence: The History of SCION Instruments
The Techcomp Group established SCION Instruments in 2014 after acquiring Bruker’s Gas Chromatography (GC) business, originally developed by Varian.
Previously, Bruker had acquired Varian’s GC range from Agilent, which divested it in 2010 due to regulatory requirements. As a result of this acquisition, SCION Instruments inherited Varian’s gas chromatography technology and designs, allowing us to continue and expand this rich legacy.
Since then, SCION Instruments has significantly expanded the GC range, enhancing its capabilities and providing ongoing support for legacy Varian devices and customers.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification – Our Commitment to Quality
SCION Instruments is proudly certified to ISO 9001:2015, demonstrating our dedication to delivering high-quality products and services. We continuously improve our processes to enhance customer satisfaction, ensuring that our solutions meet or exceed expectations.
Moreover, TÜV Nederland evaluated our quality management system in accordance with its certification regulations. The assessment covered the configuration, manufacturing, and supply of gas chromatographs, mass spectrometers, software, spares, and consumables, further reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
