We are delighted to announce the appointment of Julian Phillips as the new General Manager for Scion Instruments. Julian has joined Scion at a defining time for the business to drive continuous improvements to the current portfolio. His role will involve the development of new instruments to deliver bespoke solutions to meet the needs of our customers worldwide.

Julian joins the company with an extensive experience in the scientific analytical instruments industry. He has previously held senior marketing and product management roles for the likes of Bruker CAM and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Julian’s most recent position was with Bruker Daltonics as Regional Sales and Application Manager where he provided the company with an exceptional increase in sales growth and developed and implemented plans to increase customer focus.

Commenting on his appointment, Julian Phillips said: “This opportunity with Scion to help lead the growth and development in the US and around the world is extremely exciting and a challenge I am relishing. I believe that with the new leadership team in place, Scion Instruments will become a major force in the Gas Chromatography market in the nearest future.”

Scion Instruments was acquired by the Techcomp Group Ltd in 2014. Scion is continuing the development, sales and support of configured systems built on the legacy of Varian and GC-MS. For the future, Scion will be investing in further new product development in GC, MS and the very successful Compass™ chromatography data systems.
