International turnout for opening of new Dutch facility

Despite the inclement weather gripping Europe, customers, channel partners, suppliers, guests, and friends of SCION Instruments gathered in Goes in The Netherlands for the opening of their new factory and warehouse facility.

SCION’s Chief Executive, Khalid Tafrasti, welcomed everyone to the new state-of-the-art facility before inviting Richard Lo, Chairman and owner of parent group Techcomp, to officially open the building.

While welcoming all attendees, Khalid Tafrasti hailed the new facility saying it would help SCION to shape the future to their beliefs and vision, with the focus on their customers and market demand.

He said: “With our chain of process brought together in one facility, it will allow us to improve our processes and serve our customer even better. It will improve the manufacturing and final testing time and the overall delivery time.

“The new building has an application lab for developing new applications, improving existing ones, and for user and service training; and for factory acceptance and demonstrating our products, software and/or applications. We also have a well-sized training room and larger and better warehousing and parts storage facilities.

“In this building we have brought together production and final testing in one area. This enables us to shorten the chain of manufacturing and reduce the distance and time between the assembly and the final test.”

Customers, channel partners, guests and suppliers were given tours of the building after Techcomp Chairman Richard Lo cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the building and open a new chapter in the development and growth of SCION Instruments.
